Nose and or throat swab (or PNS), remel tube MR4 media

Turnaround Time:

3-4 days

Lilac topped Remel tube (NB check label, do not use pink toped Copan e swab)

Detection of Bordetalla DNA in clinical samples for the diagnosis of whooping cough

Other Comments:

If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature. Delays of over 24 hours are undesirable
