This is manned Monday – Friday 9-4pm.  Weekends and Bank Holidays 8:30-11am. 


New ward referrals emailed before 13:00 Monday – Friday will be contacted by the ANS the same day.  After this time, it will be the following working day.

The Royal Stoke Laboratory is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.  Laboratory core hours are 8:00am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday.  Outside core hours, services are limited to urgent work only.

The County Hospital Laboratory is open 6:30am – 11:15pm, 7 days a week.  It provides a limited repertoire of essential tests for ward and outpatient activity on the County Hospital site.  After midnight, samples are transported to the Royal Stoke Laboratory for analysis.

The Leighton Hospital Laboratory core hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm, 7 days a week.  Outside core hours, services are limited to urgent work only.

The Macclesfield Hospital Laboratory core hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm, 7 days a week.  Outside core hours, services are limited to urgent work only.

The laboratory is open Monday-Friday 09.00-17.30. Dr Goddard is available at variable times throughout the week.

Rarely, urgent results are required and these should be discussed with the laboratory. New cANCA, MPO, PR3 and anti-GBM results will be phoned, and we will endeavour to phone any other results that appear to require particular attention.
