University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) has announced the appointment of Russell Caldicott as its new Chief Finance Officer. Russell will take up the role following the retirement of current Chief Finance Officer, Mark Oldham.

Russell brings more than 25 years’ experience working within NHS organisations and has held a range of senior finance roles across the West Midlands NHS, including positions at Sandwell Healthcare NHS Trust, previous roles at UHNM and Chief Finance Officer for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Finance at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Today Russell said: "Having spent 10 years at UHNM previously, I am delighted to be returning as the Chief Finance Officer. I am really looking forward to utilising my experience in NHS finance and system collaboration to work with colleagues to improve our financial standing and support the delivery of high quality care for my local population."
