UHNM Team of the Month Award Winners: Finance Team

The Finance Team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) has been recognised for its commitment to high standards and ongoing improvement.

The team has been named UHNM's Team of the Month after achieving Level One of the National Finance Accreditation Scheme and working towards Level Two of the National Finance Accreditation Scheme. 

The scheme supports NHS finance teams to continually improve their services, improve leadership and create opportunities for staff development.  

Mark Oldham, chief finance officer, said: "The team has worked together to make significant progress towards Level Two accreditation building on the strong foundations already in place and continuing to develop the support it provides across UHNM.

"Every member of the team has played a part in helping us achieve Level One and make real progress towards Level Two and that is something we can all be proud of."

The award was presented by Jane Haire, chief people officer, during the team's recent strategic away day. 

Jane said: "This recognition is thoroughly deserved. The Finance Team plays a vital role in supporting patient services across UHNM, often working behind the scenes to support colleagues, and services to support delivery of Trust priorities and it's is great to see their contribution recognised in this way.
