University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is no longer operating under critical incident arrangements. However, both Royal Stoke and County Hospitals continue to experience significant pressure across its services.

We are asking the public to continue to help us by choosing the most appropriate NHS service for their needs. For non-life-threatening conditions, please consider using NHS 111, your local pharmacy, GP services or walk-in centres where appropriate.  Emergency departments should only be used for serious or life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
