UHNM Opens Public Nominations for New People’s Choice Award as Part of Annual Staff Celebration
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is proud to launch nominations for its annual staff recognition event, A Night Full of Stars. This year’s awards are particularly significant as, for the first time in the event’s history, UHNM is opening nominations to the public with the introduction of a brand-new category, The People’s Choice Award.
This award invites patients, families, and members of the public to nominate a UHNM staff member who has made an outstanding difference to their care experience. Whether through extraordinary compassion, support during difficult times, or exceptional service that left a lasting impression, this is the public’s opportunity to shine a light on those who go above and beyond in their roles.
Dr Simon Constable, UHNM Chief Executive, said: “Every day, our staff demonstrate remarkable kindness, resilience, and professionalism. A Night Full of Stars allows us to honour those efforts—and the introduction of the People’s Choice Award gives our patients and communities a meaningful way to join us in celebrating individuals who have had a profound impact on their lives.”
The People’s Choice Award will be selected based on nominations submitted directly from the public. Submissions are now open and can be made via the trust website here
Nominations will close on Wednesday 16 July and the winner will be announced at the A Night Full of Stars celebration later this year.
Alongside the new public category, A Night Full of Stars will continue to recognise excellence across the Trust in a range of staff-nominated categories, including Kindness and Compassion, Collaboration, Inclusion, Rising Star, Unsung Hero, and Team of the Year, among others.
