UHNM officially opens new Digital Hub at Royal Stoke
University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) has cut the ribbon on its new digital hub at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The new hub, which is based in the hospital’s West Building, will be home to all of UHNM’s Digital Services teams (previously IM&T), to work collaboratively in a new and inviting space.
Amy Freeman, UHNM’s Chief Digital Information Officer, said: “The new digital hub is a fantastic new, purpose-built facility, and I am so pleased that all of our teams now have a dedicated space to work collaboratively. Team work has to start with coming together, and this new hub gives us just that.
“I am delighted we can finally cut the ribbon on the hub, and am proud of UHNM’s Digital Services team who have been working over and above during a challenging few weeks.”
During the opening ceremony, the Digital Services team were presented with UHNM’s Chief Executive Award in recognition of their efforts to ensure patient care continues to run smoothly across UHNM.
The ribbon on the hub was cut by Dr Simon Constable, UHNM Chief Executive.
Dr Constable said: “I would like to congratulate the whole Digital Services team on the opening of UHNM’s new digital hub, providing a fantastic working environment for our hardworking Digital Services team. Thank you to those who have made it possible.
“It has been a challenging few weeks for the team and I want to share my thanks for everything they have done, going above and beyond with creativity and innovation to ensure that patient care continues as normally as possible. The whole team should be very proud of themselves for supporting the Trust in the way that they have, and therefore as a token of my appreciation and recognition I have given the team the Chief Executive Award.”
