Industrial Action (15-19 June)
The planned resident doctors’ strike due to begin at 7am on Monday 15 June has now been called off following a last‑minute offer from Government, which will be put to BMA members for a vote.
This is positive news for patients, and services across UHNM will continue to run as normally as possible in the coming days.
Most appointments and procedures will go ahead as planned. If your care has been affected or needs to be rearranged, our teams will contact you directly. There is no need to call us unless you have been asked to do so.
Please continue to use NHS services in the usual way. If you need urgent health advice, you can use NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency, please continue to attend A&E or call 999.
Although the strike has been cancelled, some services may still be slightly affected as we restore activity that had been stood down in preparation. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
