Collection instructions: Collect specimens in appropriate leak proof container. Specimen may be passed into a clean, dry, disposable bedpan or similar container and transferred into an appropriate CE marked leak proof containers and place in sealed plastic bags

All requests requiring OCP investigation must provide specific clinical details relating to ova, cyst, or parasite infection. Include foreign travel, if applicable, and patient symptoms (e.g. weight loss, eosinophilia, passing a visible worm) to ensure testing is performed.
Samples sent without relevant information will be rejected.
Specimen transport: If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature
