2 x 4ml EDTA blood (1ml if paediatric) , purple top,

Turnaround Time: 22 days

Test to look for mutations that may cause resistance to anti-retroviral drugs

Other Comments:

If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature. Delays of over 24 hours are undesirable
