UHNM Team of the Month Award: Nuclear Medicine and PTT CT Appointments Team
Staff from University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) have been praised for continuing to deliver high-quality support to both patients and colleagues during a challenging period.
The Nuclear Medicine and PTT CT Appointments Team at the Royal Stoke University Hospital demonstrated “unwavering dedication, resilience, and exceptional teamwork” to ensure patients experienced minimal disruption to their care.
They were presented with UHNM’s Team of the Month Award by Dr Simon Constable, chief executive following a nomination by Hayley Sykes, junior operational support manager.
Hayley said: “I nominated the Appointments Team for their unwavering dedication, resilience, and exceptional teamwork during an especially challenging period. Their ability to stay positive and deliver high-quality support to both patients and colleagues has been commendable.
“The team has shown incredible adaptability, making quick decisions to keep services running smoothly including amending appointments where needed to prioritise urgent cases such as two-week-wait referrals. These decisions were made with patient safety and maintaining high standards of care as their top priorities.
“Their exceptional problem-solving skills, particularly their ability to quickly identify and utilise any available capacity have played a vital role in ensuring patient care standards. This has not only optimised performance but also reduced the risk of delays and disruptions for patients.”
Following the presentation, Dr Constable said: “You cannot help but be genuinely impressed by their positive attitude and the way they pull together as a team to deliver the highest-quality support for clinical care.”
