UHNM’s Gynaecology team recognised on the international stage
The work of University Hospitals of North Midland’s (UHNM) Gynaecology team has been recognised at an international conference.
The team was invited to present ten research papers at the Annual Congress of the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) in Istanbul.
Experts from UHNM also delivered five oral and four poster presentations covering a range of advanced surgical innovations and clinical research topics.
Dr Ammar Rafiq, senior registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology, said: “It was an honour to represent UHNM on the international stage. The positive feedback we received shows the strength of our research and our ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for patients.
“Our work attracted real interest from colleagues across Europe, who praised UHNM’s innovative approach and the practical impact of our findings. It’s fantastic to see our team’s efforts recognised and to showcase the talent and collaboration within our gynaecology department.”
