Mr Anurag Golash's areas of expertise include all aspects of urology, especially laparoscopic surgery (keyhole surgery) for kidneys and adrenal. He has a special interest in kidney diseases, prostate cancer and keyhole surgery. He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Hospitals of North Midlands in 2004 to develop laparoscopic services in urology. Mr Golash was the first in the world to report laparoscopic nephrectomy as a day case procedure. He was awarded the Citizen of the Year Award for this innovation by the North Staffordshire Council. He is the Head of the Department of Urology at the University Hospitals of North Midlands.
