​I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1998 in Medicine and again in 2010 having completed research and an MD looking at mechanisms of cell shedding from the gastro-intestinal tract.  My post-graduate training was in the Mersey region with a fellowship at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.  I also worked as a consultant colorectal surgeon at Chesterfield hospital prior to working here.
