Dr Diane Adamson
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Diane Adamson began her NHS career in nursing before joining Royal Stoke University Hospital as part of the first cohort of clinical training at Keele University, through the Manchester–Keele Collaboration.
She completed her postgraduate medical training across the West Midlands and in Wales, specialising in General and Vascular Surgery. Following an accident that resulted in a long term disability, Dr Adamson switched to Emergency Medicine and Major Trauma—a field in which she has since made a significant impact.
At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM), Dr Adamson has served as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Major Trauma, taking on several senior leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine and Divisional Medical Director for Women’s, Children’s and Clinical Support Services.
Outside of medicine, Di is a passionate equestrian. She is a graded para-rider and regularly competes on weekends.
