Employee of the Year

Employee of the Year is awarded to staff who have: 

  • Improved the quality of service they provide to either their patients and/or colleagues and will be able to evidence the change
  • Improved the efficiency and productivity or their service/team/department that has benefited the Trust or its patients
  • Made an extra effort, beyond what is expected of them under their normal duties, to improve services at the Trust or made a special difference to a patient and their family
  • Been a role model for the values and behaviours of the Trust

Improving Together

This award will be presented to an individual or team that has demonstrated exceptional innovation in their work or creative thinking to develop/improve services. They may have used research, partnership working, changed pathways or roles or introduced new systems.  Their improvement initiative will have made a difference to patients, either directly or behind the scenes, or made team-working more effective for service delivery. 

Leader of the Year

This award is to recognise an inspirational leader who is consistent in their approach, leads with compassion, contributes to an inclusive environment and lives our organisational values.  They will have drive and enthusiasm that inspires others and be a positive advocate for the Trust. This individual does not have to be in a management role.

Rising Star - Clinical

This award is to recognise an individual who has substantially grown in their role or placement, shown drive and enthusiasm making a significant contribution to their own development or improvements to their area of work.

Rising Star - Non clinical

This award is to recognise an individual who has substantially grown in their role or placement, shown drive and enthusiasm making a significant contribution to their own development or improvements to their area of work. 

Rising Star - Apprentice

This award is to recognise an individual who has substantially grown in their role or placement, shown drive and enthusiasm making a significant contribution to their own development or improvements to their area of work. 

Clinical Team of the Year

This award recognises a clinical team who work flexibly and collaboratively, with a ‘can do’ approach to overcome barriers. The culture in this team will truly reflect our Values, be high performing utilising the strengths of individual team members and demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional levels of care.

Non-Clinical Team of the Year

This award recognises a non-clinical team who work flexibly and collaboratively, with a ‘can do’ approach to overcome barriers. The culture in this team will truly reflect our Values, be high performing utilising the strengths of individual team members and demonstrate their commitment to providing an exceptional service.

Wellbeing Initiative

This award is to recognise an individual or a team who through creating an engaging and inclusive culture have significantly improved the Health and Wellbeing of their colleagues/patients. This individual or team will have gone above and beyond to achieve measurable results for their wellbeing/engagement initiative(s) and compassion.

UHNM Charity Award

This award celebrates the individual or team that has made an outstanding contribution in supporting the work of UHNM Charity.

Volunteer of the Year

This award recognises a volunteer or voluntary team who work tirelessly and generously give their free time, enthusiasm and energy to help improve NHS services, facilities and support for patients, visitors and their families.
