Clinics and Information

A patient attends the department for a 20minute slot, to collect a piece of equipment, that is to be worn at home. Observations, demonstration of the equipment generally in a group session and issue of the device is completed.

A patient attends for an overnight stay from 9.30pm and will either be allowed to return home from 7.30am or the following afternoon depending on what test is required. A technician will be there throughout to set up, monitor and remove the test.

A 30minute slot with a physiology clinical lead, to discuss relevant past medical history, results from sleep studies performed & treatment options where necessary. A 30minute slot with a sleep consultant, to discuss relevant possibly complex past medical history, results from sleep studies performed & treatment options where necessary.

A 20 minute slot where issues can be discussed once treatment has commenced. Further advanced investigation or treatments may be debated.

A patient attends the department for a 1hour slot where CPAP is explained, demonstrated and fitted to a person diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. A CPAP will be issued to the patient to take home at this appointment.

A 30 minute slot that is performed approximately 2 weeks after CPAP Initiation to review patient tolerance and reaction to treatment by reviewing CPAP data. To discuss and implement any alterations necessary to aid compliance.

A 20 minute slot performed 3 months after CPAP is established to ensure continued compliance and tolerance to CPAP treatment by reviewing CPAP data.

A 20 minute slot that is performed 12/24 months after CPAP is established to review CPAP data, to discuss any relevant medical changes and to issue consumables where necessary.

A 20 minute slot that is performed 12/24 months after CPAP is established to review CPAP data, to discuss any relevant medical changes and to issue consumables where necessary and to make alterations on face to face basis where necessary.
