Inspirational nurse Julie Lehman receives employee of the month award

“Inspirational” nurse Julie Lehman has been thanked for her dedicated service to the theatre team. Working as theatres co-ordinator, Julie has helped to steer her team at County Hospital through some extremely challenging times. She has also given extra support to theatres colleagues at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Gaynor Hancock, Theatres Co-ordinator, said: “Julie has given years of dedicated service to the department. She has worked as theatre coordinator and is an inspirational nurse whose dedication and commitment have steered us through some of the toughest times, most recently being the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Julie’s passion for working at County Hospital is why we as her colleagues are also so enthusiastic, wanting the hospital to succeed and be the centre of surgical excellence we know it can be. Not only does Julie support County but she also stepped in and supported the teams at Royal Stoke when they have needed it.

“Julie knows and supports every one of her staff members; she knows how to get the best out of her team and will fight for every one of them. 34 years’ service is also a major achievement in such a busy department and we commend her for it.”

Julie has now been recognised with an Employee of the Month award.

Tracy Bullock, Chief Executive said: “I am delighted to present Julie with the Employee of the Month award for her dedication and inspiring work over the years. It’s lovely to hear the positive effect Julie has made within the theatre team.”
