About County Hospital

County Hospital has been extensively refurbished into a vibrant modern acute local hospital. The hospital provides a range of acute services across its 180 beds, including:

  • Accident and Emergency and Acute Medicine
  • Women’s Health Centre
  • Renal Dialysis
  • Bariatric Surgery
  • Endoscopy
  • MRI diagnostics
  • Outpatients

The hospital facilities include:

  • Chemotherapy, Oncology and Haematology Unit
  • Renal Unit with 12 dialysis stations
  • Four new wards, each with 50% single rooms
  • Three Laminar Flow Theatres, making six theatres in total
  • MRI Unit with two scanners

There are more than 650 parking spaces for staff, a restaurant, WHSmith and a bakery. There is also a private nursery on site and if you do need to travel to Royal Stoke, there is a free shuttle bus service that leaves every hour on the hour.
