Overseas nurses complete training

Two UHNM nurses who gained their qualifications outside of the EU have completed their transition into fully registered nurses in the UK.

Jyothi Kurien Pulliyil and Reju Abraham are currently based on Ward 233 at Royal Stoke University Hospital and have completed the locally developed process, which encompasses the key elements of the NMC registration requirements along with the Nursing Assistant's existing experience of working at UHNM.

Tracy Mellor, Ward 233 Sister said: "Jyothi and Reju are incredibly committed, dedicated and motivated nurses who were determined to make that transition from a Nursing Assistant to a fully qualified nurse. We are delighted to have them on board and they've fitted in really well with the team."
