Help make Christmas Day special for our elderly patients
Christmas in hospital can be a lonely time for the elderly. Many who spend Christmas Day in hospital don’t have any close family left who are able to visit them or bring gifts on this special day.
Nearly 1,000 elderly people will spend Christmas Day in a bed at Royal Stoke or County Hospital. This is why UHNM are appealing to the public for help this Christmas. This year our staff are asking you to make a huge difference this year by donating a small gift, be that toiletries, warm socks, gloves, slippers, confectionary, scarfs, hats, pens, books, games, puzzle books or handmade gifts. (no alcohol)
Anything that you can give helps and really does go a long way.
Please make sure the gift is unwrapped, these will then be distributed to a suitable patient that needs it. You can drop your gifts to the Reception Desk in the Main Entrance at Royal Stoke or Ward 15 at County Hospital
We really appreciate your support for our elderly patients this Christmas and our staff working that day will be delighted to be able to deliver gifts and make their day special.
