ARTU (Acute Rehabilitation Trauma Unit)


​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​University Hospitals of North Midlands is developing a brand new unit for patients who require acute care following stabilisation from intensive care, theatres or the emergency department.

The 26-bed ARTU (Acute Rehabilitation Trauma Unit) will be situated on the Royal Stoke University Hospital site and will help patients achieve their maximum potential for physical, cognitive, social and psychological function. It will be one of the first hyper-acute specialised rehabilitation units to be developed within a Major Trauma Centre.

The Trust is recruiting a large number of nursing and therapy posts to help staff the large multidisciplinary team who will manage the unit.  

Posts required include advance nurse practitioners, Ward Manager, senior staff, nurses, junior nurses, healthcare assistants, ward clerks, discharge facilitators, advanced physiotherapists, advanced occupational therapists, senior SALT practitioners, Senior Dietician and more.
